Obituary of Harriet Anderson

Harriet I. Anderson nee Spafford Age 93, passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 3, 2008 at the Morris Hospital. Born in Troy Township June 25, 1914 to the late Miles and Mary (nee Glasscock) Spafford, she was a resident of Minooka since 1933. A member of the Minooka United Methdist Church and the Minooka Women's club. She enjoyed cooking and was an avid gardener. Survived by her children, Andrew R. (Nancy Sue) Anderson of Minooka, Darlene (late Todd) Thornton of Minooka and Edward (Diane) Anderson of Woodlawn, IL.; Daughter in law Doris Anderson of Columbus, Ohio; Twelve grandchildren, Col. David (Michelle) Anderson, U.S.A.F. of Maryland, Carolyn (Jeff) Jarvi of Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Nancy Anderson of Denton, TX., Susan Accetturo of Columbus, Ohio; Richard (Wendy) Anderson of Minooka, Steven (Tammy) Anderson of Morris, Clark (Jennifer) Anderson of Romeoville; Beth (Robert) Nettles of Mazon, Amy (Daniel) Bellus of Morris, Lisa (Larry) Brewer of Diamond, Julie (William) Dasbach of Minooka and Andrew Thornton of Ottawa. Twelve great grandchildren, Anthony Accetturo, Grant Anderson; Aric and Kelli Anderson; Lily Anderson; Ben (Michelle) Nettles, Sean Nettles; Sara and Mary Bellus; Jennifer Casto, U.S. Army, Iraq, Robert Hausken and Kevin Dasbach; Two great-great grandchildren, Kiley Casto and Hunter Nettles. Also survived by two sisters-in-law, Elsie Smith and Dorothy Anderson as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Andrew C. Anderson; One son Charles; One daughter, Nancy J. Anderson, her parents, two sisters and six brothers. Harriet I. Anderson will lie in state at the Minooka United Methodist Church, Wednesday, February 6, 2008 from 9:30 a.m. until the services begin at 10 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
