Stanley John Korwin

“Stan”

Age 76, passed away May 18, 2018 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Stan was born in Chicago, IL on September 2, 1941 the son of the late Stanley and Helen (nee Evanowski) Korwin. Stan retired from Amoco Oil, Naperville, with 25 years of service as a Lab Tech and Hollywood Casino with 15 years of service in Maintenance.

Stan enjoyed reading, Sci-Fi, old TV series, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Rosemarie (nee  Szabo); his two daughters, Jaime (Joaquin) Palacios and Michelle (Nathan) Wilson; eight grandchildren, Edward Malachi Macholz, Zoe Rose Korwin, Nathaniel Coll Palacios, Dylan Francis Wilson, Emma Oriana Palacios, Xander Louis Korwin, Dante Elias Palacios and Gabriella Florence Wilson.

Preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Patricia Meloy

Funeral Services for Stan Korwin will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads., Joliet, to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church, 706 N. Broadway Street, Joliet, IL for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be held on Monday, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
