Robert D. Abrams
“Bob”

Robert D. Abrams, late of New Lenox, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, surrounded by the love of his wife and sister.  He was born on March 12, 1976, in New Haven, CT.  Residing in New Lenox the past 11 years, Bob was a graduate of Stevenson High School, Lincolnshire, IL, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois, and his Master’s degree from Illinois State University.  Bob was employed as a school administrator.  His passion was teaching and singing to anyone and everyone, was an alumni of No Strings Attached, and a member of the choir at Joliet Jewish Congregation.  He was a very devoted husband and father.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Lorelei (nee Botner) Abrams of New Lenox; his three children, Logan (9), Brendan (7), and Autumn (5), all at home; his sister, Jennifer (Christopher) Price of Keller, TX; his three nephews, Ryan (13) and Matthew Price(11), and Max (1) Botner; son-in-law of Caryn and John Botner of Buffalo Grove, IL; and brother-in-law of Justin (Stefanie) Botner of Phoenix, AZ and Melissa (Phil) Bain of Denver, CO.  

He was preceded by his father, Bruce Abrams.
