Obituary of Kourtney Elizabeth McConnell

Kourtney Elizabeth McConnell, late of Phoenix, AZ and formerly of Bolingbrook, passed away on May 29, 2018 at the age of 32. She was born on January 11, 1986 in Raleigh, NC and moved to Barrington, IL in 1987 prior to moving to Bolingbrook.  Kourtney attended Oak View Elementary, Jane Addams Middle School and graduated from Bolingbrook High School, Class of 2004.  After graduation, Kourtney relocated to Phoenix, AZ and attended Mesa Community College from 2004 to 2006. Kourtney remained in the Phoenix area where she raised her son Devin with his father Delaney Durbin.

Kourtney was a good friend to all who knew her. She was involved in the PTA, was room mother for Devin’s classes for many years and was involved in all kinds of school activities for her son. Being Devin’s Mother was her passion. She was a special lady who was kind, generous, and fun loving with a great smile who often had a mischievous sparkle in her eyes. She will be missed by her family and by all who knew her.

Kourtney is the loving and devoted mother of Devin Durbin; dearly loved daughter of Bradd and Eileen (nee Swearingen) McConnell; beloved granddaughter of Jerry and Karen McConnell; dear sister of Ryan;  well-loved niece of Brian (Kristi) McConnell,  Phillip (Charmaine), Laura (Rachel), and Christopher (Diane) Swearingen;  loving aunt to Riley and Kaylee;  and the cherished cousin of Christa, Corinne, Eric, Caitlyn, Erin and Kate.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Phillip and Ruth Swearingen.

Visitation for Kourtney Elizabeth McConnell will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 2-7 p.m. at the Fred C.
