Irene J. Dernulc

Irene J. Dernulc, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at her late residence.  She was born in Joliet, the daughter of the late John F. Sr. and Louise (nee Pellegrini) Dernulc, and was a lifelong resident.  Irene graduated from providence High School and was employed as a secretary for Union Carbide for 40 years.  She was an avid Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago White Sox fan.

Surviving is her sister, Dolores (Gerry) Fitzgerald; three brothers, John “Jack” (Georgene) Dernulc, Jr., Joseph (Karen) Dernulc and Mike (Marge) Dernulc; Irene was the loving aunt of Cindy Frederick, Paula (Ken) Saieg, April Frederick, Angela (Gerry) Munch, Jason (Gina Hoover) Dernulc, Greg Dernulc, Brian Dernulc, and Brian (Melanine) Fitzgerald; great nephews, Kris (Rose) Saieg, Kenneth “Rocky” (Kristen Brockhaus) Saieg , Katrina Saieg, Blake Munch, Brody Munch, Makenna Munch, Caden Dernulc;  great-great nephew, Logan Saieg; great-great step nephew, Grant Feigl; and her dear friend, Pat Bentley.

She was preceded by her parents and her nephew, Ricky Frederick.
