“Tim”
Timothy Raymond Sullivan, age 65, of Joliet and formerly of Plainfield, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at home. Born in Ottawa, IL, on January 23, 1953, he was the son of Connie (nee Alvarado) and the late Raymond Timothy Sullivan. A graduate from Plainfield High School, he was an all star in high school sports, including football, baseball and basketball. Tim worked in the construction industry until retirement. He enjoyed cooking, entertaining friends, all sports and was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. Tim got his wish of seeing the Cubs win the World Series. He was loved by his family and friends and will be truly missed.
Timothy is survived by his mother, Connie (nee Alvarado) Sullivan; two sisters, Cyndi (Larry) Stonitsch and Terri Ann (Karl) Huebner; one nephew, Chad (Julia) Godeaux; great niece, Ella Rose Godeaux; and great nephew, Landon Stone Godeaux. Loving aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Timothy Sullivan (1990) and his brother, John D. Sullivan (2006).
Funeral Services for Timothy Raymond Sullivan will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 11:15 a.m., from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, to Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, 604 N. Raynor Ave., Joliet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Joliet Make a Wish Foundation would be appreciated. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
