Ronald F. Polaczek
Ronald F. Polaczek, age 82, of Shorewood, IL and formerly of Burbank, IL, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. He was born in Chicago, the son of the late Frank and Agnes (nee Gubala) Polaczek, and graduated from Tilden Tech High School in Chicago, Class of 1953. Ronald was a proud United States Army Veteran. He retired from Walgreens, as a Fleet Manager, in 1999 following 43 years of dedicated service. Ronald was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the game of solitaire.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Josephine (Mohorek) Polaczek of Shorewood; two sons, David Polaczek of Lockport and Randy (Jenee) Polaczek of Shorewood; his grandchildren, David, Deanna, Devin, Drew, Eowyn, Brayden, and Garret Polaczek; four great grandchildren, Autumn, Aaron, Dakota, and Noel Polaczek; brother, Jerry Polaczek of Homer Glen; and his canine companion, Holly.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for Ronald F. Polaczek will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, 9:15 a.m., from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home to Holy Family Catholic Church, 600 Brook Forest Ave., Shorewood, IL, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL.
