Rita Natalie Carlson

Age 71, passed away suddenly, on Saturday, June 9, 2018.  Born in Germany on April 22, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Tony and Natalie (nee Schnabelis) Bilitavicius.  Rita enjoyed a rewarding career, as an Administrative Assistant with Hinshaw and Culbertson LLP, Chicago, IL, before retiring in 2008, and currently worked at the Soap Opera Laundry Mat.  She loved spending time with her grandkids and was an avid animal lover.  Her personality was larger than life, she enjoyed great conversation with family and friends and will truly be missed by all who knew her.  

Rita is survived by her son, Erik (Gina) Carlson; Nana of Katelyn, Braeden, Emma and Ethan Carlson; siblings, Tony Bilus, Anastasia Lowery, Teresa Bingham and Veronica Clemens; and feline friends, Ben and Jerry.  Many nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded by her husband, Lloyd Carlson (2006); her parents; siblings, Vytautas Bilitavicius, Stanley Bilitavicius and Mary Bilitavicius; and canine companions, Bella and Faith.

A Memorial Gathering for Rita Natalie Carlson will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. until time of a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet.  As it was Rita’s request, cremation rites have been accorded.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to PAWS Chicago, 1997 N.
