Johnnie E. Hickman
Age 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at his home. Johnnie was born August 18, 1925, in Auburndale, FL, to the late Grady and Annie (nee Edwards) Hickman. He was a proud World War II Veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart and the Oak Leaf Cluster.
Loving Father of John E. (Rose) Hickman, Janet (L.J.) Owens, William (Bonnie) Hickman, Sandra (Tom Hampel) Bourgoine, Lillian (John Vincent) Doolin, James (Mary) Hickman, and Daniel (Robin Powell) Hickman; two daughters-in-law, Kim Hickman and Michelle Hickman Coleman; devoted grandfather of 20; proud great-grandfather of 51; and his sister, Dorothy Maits.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice R. Hickman (2009); two sons, Jeffrey Hickman (2009) and Robert Hickman (2016); grandson, Christopher J. Bourgoine (2004); great-grandson, Ryan James (2007); and his parents.
Visitation for Johnnie E. Hickman will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park will follow.
