For over 50 years, Kathy and I would exchange birthday cards, Christmas cards etc. always with the written sentiment attached, "To the best friend I ever had, Love...…
I am so happy to have saved most of those cards and to be able now to reread her tidbits of family and personal activities. She was a special woman, loyal, outgoing, concerned, dedicated to her family, friends and a fun life. We traversed the dynamics of middle school, high school, and though in different scenarios, college life. What I was experiencing in all those decades was of interest to her and vice versa. We shared many memories and much love in all our "girl talks" throughout the years. I valued her friendship and support so much that having her serve as my maid of honor at my wedding was a given and therefore a calming experience. She was always "there" for me, come what may.
In these last few years, it was heartbreaking for me to witness the toll her illness was taking on her body. What was heartening was that this illness did not deprive her of a joyful and loving outlook on life and her loving spirit remained. She was not to be discouraged from squeezing every drop of contentment out of each day she lived.
Kathy considered herself extremely lucky to have found a man like Ron to spend her life with. She talked often of his loving and considerate persona, his willingness to accommodate to her every need and to do so with such obvious love in his heart for her. They were an enviable couple and stood out in any gathering with their tender looks at each other and the little hand holds across the table. She was extremely proud of his business acumen and their son's ability to carry on with the business whenever they headed south for some sun and fun.
To simply say that she will be missed is not an accurate description of the void she leaves in so many lives with her passing. Angelic is a description that fits her perfectly and I am confident she is in a place where there is eternal bliss, and if I am fortunate enough to join her one day, I look forward to enjoying all those qualities that a "best friend" brings to one's life. I am forevermore grateful that Kathy Williams sought me out (as a new pupil) on a playground in the 6th grade and said simply, " Hi, want to play." To be a part of her life ever afterward was one great lasting blessing. Rest in peace, my angelic friend. Carolyn

Clint and I were so saddened to learn of Kathy's passing. You both held a very special place in our hearts. We hope you find comfort in these words...
I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day -- and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2Timothy4:7+8
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am truly sorry for the homegoing of your love one. I am blessed in that I was employed by Kathy at Telcordia Technologies and she was by far one of the best managers I have ever had. She always looked out for me because she hired me from Texas. I am just now learning of her receiving her wings! You have my deepest sympathies.

Kathy will be missed both as a neighbor and a dear friend. She and Ron helped us whenever we needed it and we enjoyed many happy dinners together where we discussed everything from the meals to local and national happenings. Trisha especially looked forward to our neighborhood Yacht Club Circle book club and found they shared similar views and taste in books.
Meeting after Saturday afternoon Mass she, Ron and we would have dinners with other neighbors at our Beach restaurant overlooking the Gulf and watching beautiful Florida sunsets. Kathy was a smart, beautiful and amazingly accomplished woman who never spoke much about herself, yet always recognized other's needs and gave advice in handling concerns.
Ron and Kathy were a loving couple who watched out for one another in a special way that only those who have been happy together for decades seem to have. We will miss you Kathy and know you are with the angels now. We smiled when Ron said the huge thunderstorm on the day of your passing was your way of entering the Pearly Gates and letting us know those awaiting you were having a big welcoming party. Then, just to be sure we understood, a beautiful rainbow appeared.
Rest easy, Kathy...know we love you and are hoping we will reach Heaven with you in charge of our welcoming party!
