Obituary of Robert E. Zlotnik
Age 74, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. He was born on January 31, 1944, in Chicago, to the union of Edward and Anna (nee Kapjon) Zlotnik. Robert was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy and a retired Substance Abuse Counselor in the South Suburbs.
Robert is survived by his loving children, Christine (David) Kawa and Robert T. Zlotnik; sister, Joan (Ted) Lester; and grandchildren, Jessica and Michael Kawa. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
He was preceded by his beloved wife of 46 years, Arlene B. (nee Weber) Zlotnik (2015); his parents; and his sister, Loretta Exline.
Visitation for Robert E. Zlotnik will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment will take place on Monday, August 20, 2018, at 9:30 a.m., from the funeral home to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Navy and the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squad.
