Obituary of Stella Dumser

Stella J. Dumser (nee Groch) Age 86, at rest on September 7, 2009. Born in LaPorte, IN on June 2, 1923 to the late Adolph and Josephine Groch. She graduated from St. Mary's High School Michigan City, IN in 1941. Stella married Gerald T. Dumser February 28, 1949. Stella was a 46 year resident of Joliet. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald (May 12, 1995); her brother, John Groch (July 30, 1945), USS Indianapolis; and brother, Walter (2007). Stella was a caring aunt to ten nieces and nephews and 19 grandnieces and grandnephews; a generous host and a special friend to Irma Kump, B.J. Uedelhofen and the late Bonnie Oliver. We enjoyed her observations about life and her sense of humor. Graveside services were held Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Holy Cross Cemetery in Lincoln, IL. All friends and relatives will be invited to meet at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 18 Woodlawn Avenue, Joliet at a later date for Memorial Mass. Arrangements by: FRED C.
