Obituary of Ruth Taylor Berry Barker

Ruth Taylor Berry Barker died peacefully at the age of 91 in Morris, IL on August 19, 2018.

Ruth was born in Short Creek, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Ida and Leslie Taylor, one of 13 children. She married the love of her life, Joseph Berry, a W.W.I.I. Army Veteran with two bronze stars, who preceded her in death in 1952.

She is survived by her three children; Jeff (Debbie) Berry, Bonnie Berry (Joseph) Kodrick of Morris, IL, and Mary Berry (Arthur) Ogg of Woodstock, GA and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Ruth retired from General Motors in Willow Springs, IL. She enjoyed traveling America via motorcycle, country music, flower gardening, and clean windows. Many admired her for her realization that true happiness comes from those you love, not from possessions.

The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and doctors with Joliet Area Community Hospice during her final days.
