Obituary of Frances L. Humber

Frances L. (nee Rumple) Humber, of Joliet, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at The Parc of Joliet.  She was born in Joliet, the daughter of the late Palmer and Mary (nee Burns) Rumple, and was a lifelong resident.  Frances attended St. Francis Academy High School and was the former owner/operator of Goober’s Grill in Lemont, IL, and the Snow Bird Café in Mt. Dora, FL.  She was a former member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Lemont and Church of the Good Shepherd, Joliet.

Frances is survived by her children, Donald Humber of Rockdale, Cathy (Dave) DiSanto of Lemont and Richard Humber of Hayward, WI and her grandchildren, Jacob Humber, David DiSanto, Justine Humber, Anthony DiSanto, Michael DiSanto and Bryson Humber.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded by her husband, Donald Bryson Humber (1984); three sons, Raymond, Michael and John Humber; and her sister, Mary DelSasso.

Services for Frances L. Humber will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Lemont, IL.  Interment will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery, Lemont.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Fred C.
