Obituary of Patrick Gregory Renz
"Greg" passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, at the age of 51, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 10, 1967, the son of Hans Patrick Renz and Judie (nee Danneker) Renz. Greg was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but was a longtime Joliet area resident and was a 1986 graduate of Joliet Catholic Academy. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. Greg was a loving and devoted uncle who always put his family first. His presence will be greatly missed by everyone around him.
Greg is survived by his mother, Judie Renz; his siblings, Kelly (Jerry Sarich) Manfred, Christopher (Jon Vernon) Renz, and Kathleen (Joe) Barbic; his nieces and nephews, Craig (Angela) Kelly, Eric Manfred, and Cal, Maxwell Hans and Laney Barbic; and his great niece and nephew, Landon and Brynn Kelly. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
He is preceded in death by his father Hans Patrick Renz (2013).

Funeral Services for Patrick Gregory Renz will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at 9:15 a.m., from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. As it was his request, cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Brain Injury Support Group at Easter Seals Joliet Region, 212 Barney Drive, Joliet, IL 60435, would be appreciated.
