Obituary of Susan M. Esparza
Susan M. Esparza passed away suddenly, at the age of 43, on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. Susan was born on September 10, 1974, and was a lifelong resident of Blue Island, IL. Susan was a graduate of Dwight D. Eisenhower High School and attended Moraine Valley Community College. She was well known and very active in the community. Always taking care of the needs of others, she was a Patient Care Coordinator at the Center for Sleep Medicine.
Susan was a devoted wife, loving mother, adoring grandmother, and loyal friend, always willing to help anyone in need. What was most important to her was spending quality time with her loved ones. She thoroughly enjoyed being a grandma and cherished the time she spent with her family. One of her favorite activities was taking long walks with her 3-year-old grandson, Christian Jr. He was her pride and joy. She also enjoyed riding with her husband on his motorcycle and tending to the garden to enjoy the weather. Susan was always full of life and her contagious smile would light up a room. Her joyful spirit will truly be missed by all that knew her, and her kind soul lives on through the legacy of her family.
Susan is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Candido; her three children, Christian, Alec and Elisa Esparza; her father, Barry (Teresa) Goelz; step parents, Paul and Dorie Anderson; one grandson, Christian Esparza, Jr.; and two siblings, Edward (Mejreme) Anderson and Daniel (Melissa) Goelz. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
She was preceded by her mother, Judith L. (nee Hufnagl) Anderson.
A Memorial Service for Susan M. Esparza will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018, at 6:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL. As it was her request, cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the family would be appreciated.
