Obituary of John C. McGrail
John C. “Jack” McGrail, age 26, of Plainfield, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, from an undiagnosed heart condition.
Born August 17, 1992, in Oak Lawn, he was a 2011 graduate of Plainfield South High School, and was a proud member of I. B. E. W. Local #9.
Jack is the loving son of Matthew T. and Maureen M. (nee O'Malley); dear brother of Shannon (Mike) Jones, Maggie (Pat) Howard, Mary McGrail, and the late Sean McGrail; dear grandson of Margaret McGrail and the late Clifford McGrail, and John “Duke” and Joan O’Malley; proud uncle of Matthew, Molly and Brady; and fond nephew of Cliff (Bobbie) McGrail, Marty (Vicki) McGrail, Margaret (Pete) Aparicio, Karen (the late Earl) Fitzner, Kathleen (Keith) Kobiernicki, Erin Johnson, Colleen (Jerry) Granato, Kerrie (Bob) McAvoy and the late Patrick (Mary Susan) O'Malley. Many loving great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends also survive.
Also surviving is the one and only love of his life, Kayle O’Boyle. They dated for four wonderful years but had known each other since childhood. They loved going to the movies, playing mini-golf, enjoying baseball and football games, especially Notre Dame, but most of all spending every moment possible together.
He will be remembered by his family as a beloved and devoted son, brother, uncle, and nephew who loved spending time with his family. His prowess in baseball and football will also not be forgotten.
