Obituary of Jerry Troglia
Age 69 of Morris, IL and formerly of Merrionette Park in Chicago passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018.
He is survived by his cherished sweetheart, Joan M. Kaufman; dear father of Jennifer Troglia Rohloff, the late Mark Harold Troglia, Gerald Raymond Troglia Jr., Jeffrey Thomas Troglia, the late Joanne Therese Boschert, Andrew Peter Troglia, Joseph Walter (Heather Marie) Mayor Sr. and Courtney Noelle (David Cosmo) Daniele. Several grandchildren including Morgan Lynn Rohloff, Molly Lauren Rohloff; Joseph Walter Mayor Jr., Jackson Dean Mayor; Evelyn Sophia Palonis and Vincenzo Giovanni Daniele.
Jerry spent well over 30 years coaching youth sports primarily for the Mt. Greenwood Colts Youth Organization, and later in Morris for the Morris Chiefs Youth Football Team. He was a lifelong fan of the "Fighting Irish", John Wayne and old westerns. Despite his gruff exterior, you could always find him listening to the melodic tunes of Peter, Paul & Mary.
He was one of a kind and will truly be missed!
Visitation will be held Monday September 10, 2018 from 3-6 pm at the at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive, Morris. A funeral service will conclude the evening at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials in his name can be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
