Mary E. Baczynski, age 60, of Morris, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Morris Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Chicago on May 27, 1958, the daughter of Wendell and Elizabeth (nee Heitman) Borg.  She grew up in the Peotone area and was a graduate of Peotone High School.

Mary was employed at the Dresden Nuclear Plant in Morris for over 22 years, working in many different roles in the Cafeteria. In her free time, Mary enjoyed camping with her family and was an avid NASCAR and NHRA fan.  She was a devoted wife and loving mother, but most of all was a cherished “Mee Maw” to her grandchildren.  Mary was a dear friend to many.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Ron Baczynski; her son, Nathan (Coral) Borg; her daughter, Erin Baczynski; two grandchildren, Rowan Borg and Zoey Gadberry; her mother, Elizabeth Borg; and her sister, Sandi (Ed) Parker.  Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

She is preceded by her father; and one brother, Robert Borg.

Funeral Services for Mary E. Baczynski will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 west U.S. Route 6 at Deerpath, Morris, IL. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until time of services. As it was her request, cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
