Mary L. Fox passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, following a brief illness, at the age of 92. Born in Albia, IA, and residing in Joliet since the age of 18, she was the daughter of the late John and Lena (nee Argenta) Denato. Mary was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter #84 and St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. She thoroughly loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and was a very avid dancer.
Mary is survived by her three children, Michael (Cathy) Russ of Galena, IL, Diane (Rick) Baranak of Shorewood and Patrick (Ann) Fox of Channahon; eight grandchildren, Lori Russ, Brian (Amanda) Russ, Cari (Rob) La Rose, Eric (Lynn) Baranak, Kelly (Michael) Benefield, James (Shannon) Baranak, Jennie (David) Cleaves and John (Liz) Fox; and 10 great grandchildren, Caitlynn and Austin Baranak, Luke and Joey Benefield, Tyler Baranak, Brody, Beckett, and Brooklyn Fox and Devin and Dylan Cleaves. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded by her first husband, Anthony Russ (1951); second husband, James John Fox (1980); and 12 brothers and sisters.

Visitation for Mary L. Fox will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018, from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, at 10:30 a.m., from the funeral home chapel to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 127 S. Briggs St., Joliet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
