David M. Rudd, Sr.

Age 74, of Shorewood, IL, died suddenly Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, after suffering an apparent heart attack.

He was born April 25, 1944 in Georgia and had resided there in his younger years.  David served in the armed forces in the early 1960’s before relocating to the Shorewood area.

Surviving are two sons, David (Linda) Rudd, Jr. and James Rudd; daughter-in-law, Theresa Woodhall.  Several other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Rudd was employed in the auto repair business for many years and will be remembered for his many years of service at Mark’s Service Center on Rt. 52 and I-55 as well as Plainfield Napa Auto Parts.  Dave also ran his own auto repair shop in Channahon for several years back in the late 1980’s.

Visitation for David Rudd, Sr. will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral services at 7:00 p.m., at the Fred C.
