Charlene and her husband, Laverne “Jack” Jackson, met and married in Joliet, where they raised their three daughters.  Charlene loved being a mother and a grandmother.  She was known for her quirkiness and off the wall sense of humor.

Charlene is survived by her daughters, Christina (Larry) Susner and Lisa (Raul) Rivera; her sister, Patricia (Richard) Porro; loving grandmother to Michael Susner, Nicole (Alex) Folz, Natalie Susner, Krystal Rivera, Raul Rivera III, Elijah Rivera and Evelyn Dones; and her nephews, Richard and Tony Porro.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Jack; and her beloved daughter, Bethany.

“Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy” Let us all look to the night skies and remember those we have lost and loved, and smile, knowing they are at peace.
