Joseph Wayne Bolyn
Joseph Wayne Bolyn, 52, of Rockdale, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2018 after a courageous battle with brain cancer at Alden Estates of Shorewood. He was surrounded by the love of his life, Michelle, and his family.
Joseph was born on October 4, 1966 in Chicago, to William and Leva (nee Blackwell) Bolyn. He was a proud United States Army Veteran and was a dedicated employee at BP Chemicals for 25 years, and worked at ISCO Industries until early 2018. He loved his lottery tickets; playing with his dog, Wyatt; fishing; and helping his in-laws, Ed and Irene, in the summer with yard work. Joseph was a strong and courageous man, he fought until the end and will be deeply missed.
Joseph is survived by his four beautiful children, Megan (Michael) Vega, Ashley (David) Kosinski, Blake, and Hannah. He was the proud “Grandpa Joe” to Cameron (age 9), Gianna (age 8) , Vincent (age 4), and Vanessa (age 1) Vega. He is also survived by his mother, Leva (the late Glen) Clements; four brothers, Danny, James (Brenda), Michael, and Raymond (Laura); and his brother-in-law, Ed (the late Jody) Russell.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Bolyn; brothers, Christopher and Stephen Bolyn; and his sisters-in-law, Karen and Vicki Bolyn.

Visitation for Joseph W. Bolyn will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL. Full military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Army. As it was his request, cremation rites will be accorded following the service. Inurnment will take place privately by the family at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 would be appreciated.
