John and Glen Sing were my only two classmates at Jones School. We had a wonderful eight years together that are full of special memories.
This has made me stop and realize how lucky I was to have the experience of a one room country grade school and be with him for all eight years.
Just recently, I came across pictures of us skating on his farm on a frozen little pond. Simple days and lot of fun together in a wonderful farm community.

So sad to hear about John’s passing. Always a good freind to me
but especialy to my parents. He was a great neighbor and loved spending time with my father. Dad enjoyed his almost daily visits for a Pepsi and the latest news. John was a valued member of the Joliet Stockyards family and had so many friends who will miss him greatly. My wife Heidi and I would like to extend our condolences to Linda and the Findlay family.

He also enjoyed a nice LARGE chocolate dipped cone from Frosty Tips (from my working days there in the early 80s)! My condolences, he always had something nice to say to everyone.
