Obituary of Phillip A. Torres

Phillip A. Torres
“Illi”

Age 36, of Joliet, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 11, 2019.  A lifelong resident of Joliet, Phillip was the beloved son of Tony and Patricia (nee Lambert) Torres and a graduate of Joliet West High School, Class of 2001.  He enjoyed everything about music, but was particularly passionate about writing lyrics.  He loved all sports, especially football, was a diehard Chicago Bears fan, and loved snuggling with his favorite labs.  Phillip was an enthusiast of clothing, shoes and food.  An avid movie buff, he always had a movie quote ready.

Phillip is survived by his loving parents; devoted brother of Nicholas (Dana) Torres of Plainfield, Julie (Mike) Manner of Joliet and Stephanie (Chris Hulka) Torres of Joliet; special uncle of Evelyn, Easton, Lily and Violet.  Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jose and Elisa (nee Rios) Torres; maternal grandparents, Robert and Shirley (nee Mandel) Lambert; uncle, Felix Torres; and aunt, Jennifer J. Lambert.
