Ancy Rae Hutten

Age 82, of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Joliet and raised in Lockport, she was a graduate of Lockport High School. Formerly employed by Argonne National Laboratory, Ancy retired from School District 86 as a secretary in 2005. She enjoyed visiting the many casinos, specializing in the quarter slots.
Ancy is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Donald P. Hutten of Joliet; her four children, Tom (Kathy) Hutten of Tennessee, Terri (Micah) Rapaz of Georgia, Toni (Mike) Dulny of Shorewood, and Brian (Heather) Hutten of Joliet; daughter-in-law, Rose of Crest Hill; eight grandchildren, Annie, Adam, Andrew, Jennifer, Stephanie, Kyle, Zach and Trent; six great grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Therese Confer of Lockport, Mary (Bob) Heidenrich of Chicago, and Joyce Hutten of Joliet. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her two sons, Tim and Ted Hutten; her parents, Charles and Lois (nee Kelly) Confer; and her brother, Charles “Sonney” Confer.
Private Funeral Services for Ancy Rae Hutten were held with interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Memorials in her name to the National Alzheimer’s Foundation would be appreciated.
