Obituary of David R. Tampier

David R. Tampier, age 63, of Morris, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Morris Hospital, with his family and loved ones by his side.

Born December 22, 1955 in Chicago, he was the son of the late Peter and Dolores (nee Orth) Tampier.

Dave worked as a carpenter in the construction trades.  He was a fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago White Sox, and enjoyed the serenity of his home in Goose Lake.

Surviving are two brothers, Tom (Janis) Tampier and Jim (Karen) Tampier; seven nieces and nephews, Rachel (Kevin) Parker, Jason (Lauren) Tampier, Lisa Tampier, Samantha (Jeff) Disney, Tyler Tampier, Kyle Tampier and Alyssa Tampier; and two great nieces, Tatum and Blakely Disney.  Also surviving is his very special friend, Linda Garrett.

A Memorial Gathering for David Tampier will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet.  Cremation rites have been accorded and interment will be private.
