Scott D. Lyons

Age 47, of New Lenox, passed away suddenly Tuesday, February 26, 2019.  He was born October 11, 1971, to the late Penny (nee Arber) and James Lyons in Buffalo, NY, where he was raised and educated.  Scott served in the United States Navy during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He was honorably discharged in 1993.

He was employed as a Physical Therapist for nearly 20 years at Brightmore Physical Therapy in Joliet, IL.  Scott’s career was more than an occupation as exhibited by his dedication, empathy, and the lasting friendships he formed with his patients.

Beloved husband of 11 years to Rebecca “Becky” (nee Kuczero) Lyons; Loving and devoted father of Bryce, Gavin and Brookelyn; dear son of James Lyons and brother of Todd Lyons; fond uncle of Brett and Dillon.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Penelope “Penny” Lyons.

Visitation for Scott Lyons will be held Monday, March 4, 2019, from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet.  Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at 9:30 a.m., at the funeral home chapel.  Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL, where full Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Navy.  For more information, please call (815) 741-5500 or visit his Memorial Tribute at www.fredcdames.com
