Obituary of Matthew Joseph Toller

Matthew Joseph Toller passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 22, 2019, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital at the age of 42, surrounded by the love of his family.  He was born on October 30, 1976, the son of Charles Luther and Brenda Joyce (nee Merriman) Toller.  Matthew was born and raised in Joliet and was a graduate of Plainfield Central High School.  He was a dedicated employee currently working as a machinist at WestRock.  Matt was a hardworking man that loved his kids and his family more than anything.  He will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.

 

Matthew is survived by the love of his life, fiancé, Mary Rudman; children, Desiree, Dawson, Isabel, and Collin Toller, and Taylor Gustavus; mother, Brenda Joyce Toller; one granddaughter, Peyton Karnes; brother, Jeff (Jennifer) Toller; and his nieces and nephews, Jessica, Rachel and Jason Toller, and Allison and Ricky Folk.  Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

 

He was preceded by his father, Charles Luther Toller; his twin brother, Michael Jason Toller; and his grandparents, Iraray and Clara Catherine Toller and Raymond and Tommie Merriman.

 

A Memorial Gathering for Matthew Joseph Toller will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m., at the Fred C.
