Catherine P. Emiley, RN "Kitty" (nee Davis) Age 90. At rest Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Timbers of Shorewood. Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Darell R. and Mary S. (nee Bradshaw) Davis, she was a resident of Joliet all her life. A WWII Army nurse. Retired registered nurse with both Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center and Silver Cross Hospital. Member of the Church of St. Jude and Troy Township Seniors. Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond F. Emiley (2007); one brother, Reginald Owen Davis; two sisters, Muriel Smego and Edith Carter; and several nieces and nephews. Survived by one sister, Claramond Graves-Schulz; beloved aunt of Tom Graves, Herb (Susan) Graves, Nancy (Stephen) Lagger, Deborah Graves, Jerry Baltz, Judy (Gene) Briscoe, Joseph (Nancy) Baltz, Norman (Cheryl) Pieper, Darlene (Doug) Bedinger, Larry (Ann) Pieper and Rhoda Martin; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Kitty Emiley will be Friday, May 22, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Church of St. Jude for a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment Resurrection Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army.
