Obituary of Edward Charles Strysik, IV
Edward Charles “Eddie” Strysik, IV, age 26, of Joliet, passed away suddenly Thursday, March 7, 2019, with his loving family by his side.
Born August 31, 1992 in Joliet, he was a graduate of Plainfield Central High School, where he played football and baseball.
Eddie loved fishing, playing the guitar, listening to music, and following all the Chicago sports teams. His love of the Chicago Cubs will be a tribute to his grandfather forever. He loved God, was a man of faith, and had strong religious beliefs. He was a kind soul with a terrific sense of humor. He will be remembered for his ability to make people laugh with his impersonations.
He was a loving son and devoted brother and the family takes comfort in knowing that Eddie is at peace.
Surviving are his mother, Marlene Rose Strysik of Joliet; his father, Edward J. Strysik of Port Charlotte, FL; his brother, Casey Strysik of Joliet; paternal grandparents, Edward and Kathleen Strysik; aunts and uncles, Douglas Strysik, Susan (the late Glenn) Steed, Tiffany (John) Strysik-Bolek, Steve (Bianca) Strysik, Sarah (Chris) Bosi, Dennis (Joyce) Kocielko, Marilyn (Ed) Lezbetak, Tony (Julie) Kocielko, and Marcia Mitok; and many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rose Marie and Casimir Joseph Kocielko; one uncle, Casimir Kocielko; and a cousin, Dennis Kocielko.
Visitation for Eddie Strysik will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet, and will conclude with a funeral service at 8:00 p.m.
Family and friends are invited to meet at Resurrection Mausoleum, 200 W. Romeo Road, Romeoville, on Thursday, March 14, at 10:30 a.m. for a committal ceremony. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
