To Karen and all of Jacks children,
I was very sad to hear the passing of Jack.
He was a wonderful and funny guy as well as being a top rate professional at his job.
Jack visited Australia a couple of times to help out Middleby Australia with oven issues we had here.
I enjoyed my time with Jack on his visits here and like you all will miss him dearly.
My deepest condolences to you all.
Kind Regards
Paul Gummerson and the team at Middleby Australia

Jack was special in so many ways. What would be considered family events included he, Karen and who ever else was around. So yes he was family!
A favorite story? My son was talking about living with us and wanted to know how he’d be in touch with his mother. I said we’d put a jack in his room for a phone. (Old school pre wireless) he looked at me confused and asked “Jack’s going to be in my room?” That shows the impact he had on everyone and with a child’s imagination.
I still like the visual of Jack sitting on a little chair with a phone in his hands.
Yes I miss you and any that I speak for would agree.

The world lost a smart and compassionate man. Jack and his brother Bob we’re literally my first friends. I learned to swim in their little backyard pool in Fayette City, I learned to ride a horse at their farm. We would get eggs from right under the chickens and Aileen would frie them up for breakfast. Want an apple tree with three kind of apples, Bill will teach you to graft trees. Hanging out with the Wiker family was a learning experience, I loved hanging with them. My condolences.

Please know that I’m thinking of Jack and you, all of his dear family and friends. I’m so sorry for your loss. Of course you know he was a great guy, smart, witty and wonderful. We were classmates at BVA and I was not surprised that the kid he was translated so wonderfully into the man you all know. It had been a pleasure to reconnect with him on Facebook and share in his stories through his words and his photos. My prayers are with you all in this time of tremendous loss.
