Obituary of Mary Katherine Robinson

Age 91, a longtime Plainfield, IL resident passed away peacefully Wednesday March 27, 2019 at Presence Villa Franciscan in Joliet, IL.  She was born June 13, 1927 to the late Cornelia and Clinton Spain in Tennessee where she resided until she moved to Illinois in her early twenties.

Surviving are her daughters and sons, Gwen Massey, Phyllis (Richard) Smith, Phillip Robinson, Stella Hartman, Carrie (Daniel) Tompkins and Hank Robinson; grandchildren, Nicole Nix, Edda Veverka, Malaki Veverka,  Bryan Meeker, Drew Meeker, Shaun Meeker, Justin, Stephanie; Bryce, Brandon and Brooklyn Nix, Tyler  Covelli; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her husband, James C. Robinson, her parents and siblings.

Mary was a long-time member of First Assembly of God Church in Joliet. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, gardening, hairdressing and cosmetology.  She also loved to sing.  She will be remembered fondly as a very strong and energetic  woman who loved her family immensely.

Visitation for Mary will be held Monday April 8, 2019 from 10 a.m. until time of services at  11:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 1201 W.
