Lois C. Epler
Age 85. Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Lois was born November 22, 1924 in Winamac, IN. She was a resident of Lemont before relocating to Joliet where she had been a resident for the past 40 years. Lois was employed at St. Joseph Hospital as a L.P. Nurse for 30 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Friends of United Cerebral Palsy and a volunteer at the Rialto Theater.
Preceded in death by her parents, Henry J. and Huldah C. (nee Dellinger) Epler; two sisters, Olive Reid and Gladys (Leonard) Zolecki; and one brother, Cyril Epler.
Survived by one brother, Norman (Fern) Epler of Plainfield; dear aunt of Janice (Howard) Johnson, Rhonda (Leon) Staggs, Joe (Dottie) Reid, Edward (Ruth) Reid and Donald Reid; numerous great-nieces and nephews; one great-great-niece and great-great-nephew; very dear friends, the O'Leary's also survive
A Memorial Service for Lois C. Epler will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Rev. Bob Dealey officiating. Memorials in her name to Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital or Good Shepard Church would be appreciated. The family will receive all friends and relatives on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until time of services at:
