Rose Kirimania

Obituary of Rose Kirimania

Rose Kirimania

At the age of 53, Rose Kirimania passed away peacefully at her home in Minooka, with family by her side, following a courageous battle with cancer.  Born in Meru, Kenya, she emigrated to the United States in January of 2016 to join her family who were already here.  She was a wonderful person who made friends everywhere she went.  Rose had a creative ability to make people laugh.  Her family was inspired by the way she lived her life for them to be better than they thought they ever could be.  Rose taught them that kindness and love is to be lived and practiced every day.

Her chosen career path as a caregiver for Assisting Hands of Downers Grove proves her desire to help those who needed it the most.

Rose is survived by her two daughters, Ivy (Zachary) Brynolf of Belvidere, IL and Nadia Karimi of Nairobi, Kenya; her parents, Erastus and Monica Kirimania of Meru, Kenya; two grandchildren, Zaiden and Zoe Brynolf; four sisters, Florence (Oluoch) Obura, Leah Kirimania all of Kenya, Salome Kirimania of Minooka, IL and Susan (Edward) Lusambo of Zambia; and two brothers, Kimaita (Lydia) Kirimania and Henry (Patricia) Kirimania all of Kenya.  Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

In Rose’s innate desire to help everyone around her, her final wish was to donate her body to medical research so that she will have completed the circle of doing everything she can until the very end.

A Memorial Service for Rose Kirimania will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., at Couriers for Christ Ministries, 21301 S. Kildare Ave., Matteson, IL 60443.  Pastor Roy L.
