Obituary of Markos Andrew

Markos John Andrew Age 81. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday, November 10, 2009. Born April 28, 1928 in Greece to John and Anastasia (nee Tombaki) Andrew; he came to the United States as an infant. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Communications Corps during the Korean War and the Cold War. Surviving are three sons, John Markos (Julie Rice) Andrew of St. Paul, MN, Franklin Arthur (Dr. Janet Fritsch) Andrew of Bloomington, IN and Markos John Andrew II of Joliet; three daughters, Rebecca Sharon (Rick) Thompson of Brownsburg, IN, Andrea May (Charles) Richmond of Brownsburg, IN and Anna Caroline (Mark) Sienko of Joliet; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Nick (late Rita) Andrew of Joliet; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean (nee Weiss) Andrew (2005); parents; one son, Michael John Andrew and one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Williamson. Funeral Services for Markos John Andrew will be Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, 102 N. Broadway, Joliet. Interment Ferncliff Cemetery in Springfield, OH.
