Obituary of Larry Todd Lincoln

Larry Todd Lincoln, of Chicago, IL and formerly of Decatur, IL, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at the age of 75.  Larry was born in Chicago on May 16, 1944, the son of Harry F. and Lois (nee Brevitz) Lincoln.  He was a graduate of Thornton Township High School, Class of 1961.  He received his Bachelors Degree in Journalism and Communication from the University of Illinois in Champaign, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and was the President of the chapter his senior year.  Larry was a proud United States Army Veteran.  He was previously employed at J. Walter Thompson in Chicago, IL before retiring after a long successful career as a Broker in Commercial Real Estate and Development. 

Larry was a generous man who enjoyed having a busy social life; whether he was traveling all over the world, attending Broadway shows, or going to the theater with family and friends.  He loved to be the party planner, spending time with those he loved.

Larry is survived by his siblings, Nancy (the late Jim) Kennelly, Susan (Thomas) St. Julien, and Sandra (Edward) Gaertner; numerous nieces and nephews; and good friend, Tom Nolan.

He was preceded by his parents; his dear friend and partner, Wayne Phillips; nephews, Eddie Gaertner and Robert Pitrowski; and niece, Denise Gaertner.

A Memorial Gathering for Larry Todd Lincoln will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL.  Full Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Army.  As it was his request, cremation rites have been accorded.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.  For more information, please call 815-741-5500 or visit his Memorial Tribute at www.fredcdames.com
