Obituary of Ruth Ferry

Ferry, Ruth E. (Nee Hohimer) Age 95. At rest Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Provena Villa Franciscan. Ruth Esther Ferry went home to be with the Lord. Born June 20, 1916 in Sparta, IL and a resident of Joliet for the past 40 years. Ruth worked for Horace Mann in Springfield, IL and Illinois Driver's License Facility in Joliet. She was a skilled seamstress but will be most fondly remembered by friends and family for her potato salad and oatmeal cookies. Former longtime member of Faith Bible Church. Survived by her daughter-in-law, Virginia Ferry; grandson, Alan C. (Lori) Ferry; grandaughter, Alana Ferry; numerous great-grandchildren all of Joliet. Preceded by her son, Alan Cort Ferry Sr. (2001) Funeral services for Ruth E. Ferry will be Thursday, February 16, 2012, 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Private interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
