Obituary of Mildred Fiday

Mildred C. Fiday (nee Rapcan) Age 83. Passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born January 11, 1929 in Joliet, she was a graduate of Joliet Central High School, and a lifelong Joliet resident. Mildred and her late husband owned and operated the Sunnyland Tavern for 35 years. Survived by one daughter, Sandra (Jerry) Hill of Morris; one son, William Fiday of Joliet; five grandchildren, Crystal Hill of Bozeman, MT, Melissa (Dean) Agelson of Peru, IL, Brandon (Anna) Fiday of Coal City, Michael Fiday of Joliet, and Adam Fiday of Sandwich; five great-grandchildren, Taylor and Jacob Agelson, Zeke and Shanna Smith, and Matthew Fiday; one sister, Ann (late Earl) Maddaus of Shorewood; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her loving husband, William F. Fiday (February 1, 2005); her parents, Joseph and Magdelan (nee Albertuciak) Rapcan; three brothers, Joseph, Edward and John Rapcan; and two sisters, Mary Hainline and Margie Rapcan. Funeral services for Mildred C. Fiday will be Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
