Cindy Armstrong

Obituary of Cindy L. Armstrong

At the age of 58, on Monday, August 12, 2019, it appears that Cindy L. (nee Faust) Armstrong lost her long battle with chronic depression and pain; in a moment of weakness, she may have given up on her own life.  As a family, we did not see this coming.  She was born in Joliet and a lifelong Morris area resident.  Cindy attended Saratoga Grade School and was a graduate of Morris Community High School, Class of 1979.  Cindy was a people person; she loved meeting new people and spending time with old friends.  She could be seen delivering food to folks from different restaurants throughout the years; with every delivery there was always a kind word, a big smile and you felt like you made a new friend when she left.  Her favorite pastime was going to the local tavern, especially when her son could join her; she also loved dancing, laughing and having fun with friends.  It is difficult for us to understand why this happened?  She has so many friends and brought joy to those she met.

Cindy was preceded by her parents, Charles and Mary (nee Boudreau) Faust.

Survived by her loving son and best friend, Charles P. Armstrong of Braidwood; one brother, William Faust of Morris; one niece, Brittany Faust of Wellman, IA; her boyfriend, Tom Bellm of Morris; and numerous friends also survive.

A celebration of Cindy’s life will be held at one of her very favorite places, Clayton’s Tap, 122 W. Washington Street, Morris from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on August 30, 2019.  In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations for the myriad of expenses that they will need to settle in her name https://www.gofundme.com/f/in-memory-of-cindy-l-armstrong-foust . Arrangements entrusted to Fred C. Dames Funeral Home and Crematory in Morris.  For more information, please call (815) 942-5040 or visit her Memorial Tribute at www.fredcdames.com
