Obituary of Robert Edward Dillard

Robert Edward Dillard, of Joliet, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 16, 2019 at the young age of 41. Robert was born on August 21, 1977, the son of the late Robert and Laverne (nee Freeman) Dillard.  He grew up in Markham and was a graduate of Bremen High School, Class of 1995 and received his Bachelors Degree in Education from Illinois State University, Class of 2003.  He was currently working as a medical courier with MedSpeed, LLC, and was a longtime former employee with Fed Ex.  

Robert was a kid at heart who loved collecting comic books and watching cartoons, his favorite being “Scooby Doo”.  He had an easy going temperament and was very personable.  Robert took great pride in his family; his wife and children meant the world to him.  He will leave a void in the lives of everyone who knew him.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Laura (nee Hiller); his children, Aria and Kai Dillard and one brother, Jonathan Robert (Gabby) Dillard. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Andrea and Gernine Nicolette Dillard.

Visitation for Robert Edward Dillard will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at the Fred C.
