While we had limited to get to know Ray, it was clear at Stacey and Andrew’s wedding that he was a very special individual based on the actions and admiration shown to him by his friends and especially his family. He obviously was very much loved by all. May God give you the peace and comfort that only He can give during this difficult time.

I worked with Ray for five years at Tracy Johnson. Ray was smart, patient and always willing to help. Ray had a subtle sense of humor and always had a smile to share. Ray was genuine and always cared for others. My deepest sympathies to Ray's family. He was a great attorney, mentor, and person and will be missed.

Warm memories: Kindergarten class at Central School with Ray, playing poker for pennies at his house, shooting baskets in his driveway there, fierce battles on the golf course, bumping into Ray in the home office of McDonald's Corporation in Oak Brook, late 1970s. A generous, gracious man.
May God's richest blessing be with all the Meaders, always.

I remember you not only as a classmate and good athlete but also as a wonderful person who was admired and respected by all who knew you. I will never forget all the times my brother and I shared with you and your Father playing ball at the athletic field in Lockport as young boys.
May you rest in peace and may God less your family in their time of sorrow.

While we only met Ray a few years ago when we were lucky enough to become “co-in-laws” to our beautiful Jenae and Alex, we quickly learned what a truly wonderful man he was. We were welcomed into the family in an instant, and have felt the Meader love ever since. He was a rock star despite his health struggles, and never let it get him down. Rest easy Ray, you did good! You will surely be missed by many.

Ray was like a ‘big brother’ to the Hayes girls as he was part of our family for over 50 years. He was a great guy and although his physical presence may be gone his legacy will continue. So from a dedicated Cubs fan and Costco member since 1998 to a Meader-loyal Sox fan and a Costco member to eternity... hey hey-ey, goodbye.
