Obituary of Michael P. Battiato

Michael P. “Mike” Battiato, age 49, of Joliet, passed away suddenly on Friday, August 30, 2019 in the emergency room of Presence St. Joseph Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Born October 29, 1969 in Chicago, he was the son of Ignatius and Theresa (nee Jovanavich) Battiato. 

Mike was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.  He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda (nee Seils) Battiato; his two children, Tyler Battiato and Heather (Jeremy) Battiato; one granddaughter, Aubree; one sister, Brenda (Joe) Battiato; one brother, Dan (Shannon) Battiato; and one niece and several nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa.
