Obituary of Heather Flahive-Pehlke

Heather L. Flahive-Pehlke Age 24. Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at her late residence, following a courageous battle with brain cancer, with her family by her side. Born in Joliet, she was a lifelong Minooka area resident. A graduate of the Grundy Area Vocational Center of Cosmetology, and Minooka High School Class of 2003. Employed at Great Clips in Shorewood. Survived by her mother, Deanne (Todd) Pehlke of Minooka; her father, Sean (Lynn) Flahive of Crest Hill; one brother, Kevin Carlton of Lockport; maternal grandparents, Gerald (Cheryl) Seil of Shorewood; paternal grandfather, Patrick (Dena) Flahive of Joliet; paternal grandmother, Marsha of Ohio; one aunt, Laurie (Eric) Wittekiend of Plainfield; her godparents, Warren (Pam) Seil of Shorewood; special friends and adopted grandparents, Allen (Mary) Pehlke of Shorewood; her cousins, Kristen, Brian, Lisa and Megan; many special friends and Harley the cat, also survive. A special thank you to those who attended and contributed to the Heather Flahive Foundation; your generosity will always be remembered in our hearts. We could not have made it without Michelle at Joliet Area Community Hospice, for that we will be eternally grateful. Funeral Services for Heather L. Flahive will be Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Pastor George Klima officiating. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
