Obituary of Helen Fleetwood

Helen M. Fleetwood (nee Van Cleave) Age 83. Peacefully, Tuesday October 27, 2009 at the Morris Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer with her family by her side. Born in Minooka, a Minooka, Seneca and Morris area resident. Her greatest love in life was caring for her family. Preceded by her husband Maurice I. Fleetwood Sr. (1973), her daughter Diane Fleetwood (1994) and her son Barry Fleetwood (1962). Her parents Benjamin and Lillian Van Cleave; 2 brothers, Ben Jr. and Floyd (Virginia) Van Cleave; one sister, Josie (Ben) Higgins. Survived by 6 daughters, Mary (Bill) Lackey of Shorewood, Pat Bannon, Marcia (Tim) Grieves, Gail Fleetwood, Tina Fleetwood all of Morris and Donna (Darryl) Roland of Dwight. 5 sons, Ricky of Morris, Maurice Jr. of LaSalle, John (Betty) of Channahon, Steve of Morris and Joe Fleetwood of Rosemont, IL. 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lucille (the late George) Walker of Ottawa and Alice (the late Dale) Belander of Braidwood. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Helen M. Fleetwood will be Saturday October 31, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jeff Chubb officiating. Interment Seward Mound Cemetery in Minooka. In lieu of flowers, memorials to her family would be appreciated. Visitation Saturday morning at 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m at: FRED C.
