Obituary of Norbert John Osuch

Norbert John Osuch, born February 10, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois, the beloved son of Loretta and Norbert Osuch and brother to Ruth Osuch, departed this life on Monday, November 11, 2019 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with his loving family by his side. 

He was the beloved husband of the late Martha Osuch (nee McGinnis) and former husband of Susan Armesy.  Norbert is survived by his children, Chris (Sarah), Kelly (Lawrence), Jeremy (Maryam) and Lauren Osuch; his grandchildren which brought so much joy to his life, Bradley and Benjamin (Kelly), Briana and Tristan (Chris) and Isabel, Aisha, and Aliyah (Jeremy); his fiancé, Kim Demas; sister, Ruth Osuch, and her children Marisol and Susana; as well as the McGinnis family, his childhood friend, Rich Lynch, and close friend, Bill Tinker. 

Norbert graduated from Benet Academy and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Lewis University.  He made a living in the hospitality industry spending the majority of his career with Franklin Brass.  Norbert spent his time with his family, traveling, playing golf, boating, and cooking.  He was a passionate sports fan and loved the Chicago Cubs and Bears.  He was a proud Catholic and a member of Holy Family Church.

Visitation for Norbert J. Osuch will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd, Joliet.  All friends and family are invited to meet on Saturday the 23rd of November 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 600 Brook Forest Ave., Shorewood, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Interment private.  In lieu of flowers, the family is asking to have donations in Norbert Osuch’s name sent to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431.  For more information, please call 815-741-5500 or visit his Memorial Tribute at www.freddames.com
