Obituary of Daniel Fleming
Daniel J. Fleming
Age 90, of Minooka, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center, surrounded by his family. Born June 6, 1919 in Morris, he was the son of Peter and Stella (McGuan) Fleming. On August 25, 1956 Dan married Margaret "Peggy" Farrell of Joliet. They spent their married life in Minooka. Dan spent his entire life farming in the Minooka area. Dan was the longest living parishoner of St. Mary's Church and was especially proud of his Irish heritage. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Joliet Elks Club. Dan will always be remembered as a devoted husband as well as a caring father and grandfather.
Survived by his wife of 53 years, Peggy (nee Farrell) Fleming; his six children, Daniel Fleming, James (Carol) Fleming, Marianne Fleming, Susanne (Ken) Kwasigroch, Terrence Fleming and Kellianne (Curtis) Stenger; and 16 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Fleming.
Funeral Services for Daniel J. Fleming will be Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary Catholic Church, Minooka for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Minooka. Visitation Tuesday 3-8 p.m. at:
