Obituary of Mary L. Rehmeyer
Age 98, of Oak Forest, IL, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park with family at her side. She was born in Plainfield, the daughter of the late James and Susan (nee Drauden) Connell. Residing in Oak Forest, IL the past 67 years, she was formerly employed in the cafeteria at St. Christopher Grade School. Mary was a third order member of the Franciscan Sisters. She enjoyed visiting estate sales and was an avid animal lover.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Rehmeyer; her son, James Rehmeyer; two brothers, John J. Connell and Charles Connell.
Survived by her grandson, James Michael Rehmeyer of Michigan; her daughter-in-law, Linda; her nephew, James (Dottie) Connell of Minooka; two great nieces, Patricia (Mark) Hudson and Stephanie (Bryan) Cole; and two great nephews, James (Amy) Connell and Kyle (Alexandra) Connell also survive.
Visitation for Mary L. Rehmeyer will be Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, from 9:30 a.m. until Services begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Plainfield, IL.
