Adam John Tromp
Adam John Tromp, age 42, formerly of New Lenox, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019, at his home in West Jordan, Utah, with family and friends by his side. Adam was born on May 14, 1977 and grew up in New Lenox Illinois. He was the son of John R. (Anita) Tromp and the late Diane M. (nee Welch) Tromp. He attended Joliet Junior College and worked diligently in his profession as a Financial Advisor. Adam loved scouting and was proud to have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in April of 1995. Adam also enjoyed playing Frisbee Golf and “jeeping” in Moab, Utah with his friends.
He was diagnosed with acute liver failure in November. Facing his foe with grace, courage and dignity, he succumbed to the disease a short while later. The family would like to thank the University of Utah Hospital and Community Nursing Services staff for their caring professionalism and comforting compassion while caring for Adam.
Adam was a devoted father and leaves behind a beautiful daughter, Morgan Diane Tromp, whom he loved dearly and who was the most important part of his life. He is also survived by his father, John Robert Tromp; his loving siblings, Colleen R. Corniels, Jared A. Tromp and Amy (Jason) L. Gonsowski. To carry on his legacy are several of his beloved nieces and nephews, Brandon D. Corniels, Austin J. Corniels, Tyler J. Gonsowski, Ryleigh E. Gonsowski and Macie J. Tromp. Adam will be missed dearly by his family, lifelong loyal friends and all who knew him.
A celebration of life for Adam John Tromp will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black (at Essington) Rds., Joliet, Illinois. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, where he will be at rest beside his mother. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
