Obituary of Joan S. Faidy

Joan S. Faidy, age 82, of Plainfield, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Alden Estates of Naperville after spending the day with her daughter, Kristina, and son, Patrick. 

Joan was born on February 23, 1937, in Chicago, IL.  She was the daughter of the late Casey and Stella Bartosiak.

She was a devoted of wife of 40 years to the late Igor Faidy, who was the love of her life.

Joan was an amazing person who loved life.  Her family was the most important thing to her.  She was a loving and devoted mother to Kristina (Partner in life - John Snyder) Roberts and Patrick (Partner in life - Colleen Rivard) Faidy.  Her grandchildren Brandon Faidy, Sharon (Fiancé Alec Gleason) Faidy, and Jessi Roberts were the lights of her life and she lived everyday to enjoy them.  In addition, she loved her previous son-in-law, Dave Roberts and previous daughter-in-law Mandy Faidy.  Joan is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was retired from the Mortgage Business and worked in operations for many years.  Her daughter, Kristina, and her granddaughter, Jessi, followed in her footsteps.  She loved to travel and craft, but Joan was very well known for her get-up-and-go attitude and she was always up for anything.  She kept a smile on peoples’ faces and will be remembered fondly.  She will truly be missed.

Visitation for Joan Faidy will be held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd.
